GLENDALE, ARIZ.: Brett Lawrie and Jason Coats homered off Indians starter Trevor Bauer, and the Chicago White Sox and the Indians tied 5-5 Friday.
The game was called after nine innings on an agreement between Indians manager Terry Francona and White Sox manager Robin Ventura.
Lawrie homered into the left-field bullpen in the first inning and Coats connected in the second.
Adam LaRoche homered for the White Sox in the sixth off Ross Detwiler. Hector Sanchez tied the game with a two-run single for the White Sox in the ninth.
Francisco Lindor and Roberto Perez drove in runs for the Indians, and Eric Stamets hit a two-run double off Scott Carroll in the seventh.
