Indians 3, Rangers 2: Indians get strong relief, rally for victory

The Indians scored two runs in the fifth inning to erase a 2-1 deficit and went on to defeat a Texas Rangers split squad 3-2 in Goodyear, Ariz., on Monday.

Francisco Lindor’s RBI single tied the score and Lindor scored on a double by Chris Colabello.

Carlos Carrasco started for the Indians and gave up a two-run homer to Nomar Mazara in the first inning.

Carrasco went two innings and gave up the two runs on three hits. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out two.

Zach McAllister, Adam Plutko and Chris Narveson each pitched two scoreless innings in relief for the Indians.
