The Cleveland Indians will have by far one of their coolest ceremonial first pitches on Saturday. After having the likes of Red Gerard, Baker Mayfield, and Denzel Ward hurl out baseballs earlier this year, Tribe fans will experience a feel-good moment with this one.
Hailey Dawson will be throwing out the first pitch at Progressive Field tomorrow evening. Dawson was born with Poland Syndrome, a disease that affects the development of her right hand. The seven-year-old hasn’t been stopped by the rare condition, however. UNLV made a number of 3D-printed hands for Dawson, giving her the ability to do everyday activities.
