The struggle was real.
The 24-62 White Sox rolled into town to take on the best team in the AL, and the game was close pretty much the entire time.
Chicago scored early to take a 1-0 lead but the Guardians had built a cruising Carlos Carrasco a 3-1 lead by the end of the 5th inning. Carrasco stopped cruising in the 6th and gave up a game-tying 2-run home run.
Sox starter Chris Flexen immediately gave the lead right back, allowing 3 in the bottom of the inning. Tom Hamilton basically declared the game over at 6-3, but that lead also lasted a very short amount of time.
