Guardians 8, Royals 5
Things didn’t look so great for the Guardians early on in Tuesday night’s game. Seth Lugo was cruising, and the Royals had a 5-0 lead because Triston McKenzie was pitching poorly.
But in the bottom of the 4th, Cleveland started to look much better. The score was 5-1 when Josh Naylor stepped to the plate, and somewhat predictably, to be honest, he homered to make the score 5-3. McKenzie settled down a bit, and got the game into the 6th inning, which is to be commended, but Cade Smith was the real key, coming in and instantly generating a GIDP to get out of the inning.
