The Midwest League and the Carolina League both held their respective All-Star games yesterday.
The High-A Lynchburg Hillcats sent seven representatives to the Carolina League All-Star game and all but one made an impact. Willi Castro, Sicnarf Loopstok and Sam Haggerty all got at bats, but Castro was the only player to earn a hit.
On the pitching side of the equation, Shao-Ching Chiang was the starting pitcher, tossing a scoreless inning and earning the win in a 2-0 game. Brock Hartson added a scoreless inning while Argenis Angulo earned the save with a 1-2-3 ninth inning that included two strikeouts.
