Monday night’s Indians/Cubs game was washed out by rain, so they’ll start off their interleague series tonight with Trevor Bauer on the hill for the Tribe.
While Francisco Lindor made his debut over the weekend against the Tigers, tonight will be his first major league start, as Terry Francona has him batting second in the Tribe’s lineup.
Batting Lindor second feels like an awful lot of pressure to put on the rookie, but it’s possible the National League rules impacted Francona’s choice of lineup.
Lindor will be just the third Indians rookie to make his first major league start from the two-hole since 1990, joining Brian Giles and Carlos Baerga.
