After the obligatory stop at Grandpa’s Cheesebarn to pick up some snacks, the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians got off their northbound buses on I-71 this afternoon, and are ready to resume the Battle of Ohio at Progressive Field this evening at 6:10 PM. The teams just split a two-game series in Cincinnati, and will now play two games here in the Land.
Frankly, I think the whole Ohio Cup concept is only slightly less cheesy than anything Grandpa can slice up, but maybe that’s just because I’m old. There was no interleague play until I was 40 years old.
