To describe the 2017 Cleveland Indians in one word thus far, I would use: “Steady”.
Despite battling injuries and inconsistencies with starting pitching and with position players, a 23-19 record has the Tribe sitting in a virtual tie for first place in the AL Central Division, alongside the surprising young Minnesota Twins. Though many fans may be looking for Cleveland to dominate the American League early and often this season, the Tribe has been steady, but not yet brilliant. Patience is a total virtue, given injuries and slow starts for many key players to start the season.
