Francisco Lindor has been named the American League Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Lindor’s offense was top notch in the last week as he played a big part in the Cleveland Indians’ resurgence at the plate, slashing .425/.439/.825 with four home runs. He had a hit in every game last week, including six-straight multi-hit games, three three-hit games and a two-homer game in the game one loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday.
By all accounts, Francisco Lindor’s play at the plate won him the POTW honors and he absolutely deserve it because of that.
