Encarnacion flies back to Cleveland for MRI

CHICAGO -- Edwin Encarnacion flew back to Cleveland to get an MRI after experiencing left biceps discomfort, manager Terry Francona said.

Encarnacion departed Friday's 1-0 loss to the White Sox in the fourth inning with the injury, and it's possible he ends up on the disabled list, Francona said. The slugger was examined by Dr. Thomas Graham before Saturday's game, but the Indians have not received the results yet.

Encarnacion said after Friday's game that he had been swinging with one arm to compensate for the bone bruise on his right hand, which occurred after being hit by a pitch on July 15.
