Does Cleveland Indians' Danny Salazar have peace of mind? Mike Clevinger to start Thursday

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Indians right-hander Danny Salazar received an MRI, cortisone shot and a trip to the disabled list Tuesday. Whether he'll get peace of mind depends on how his elbow feels when he returns to the rotation after missing half of August with first-place in the AL Central hanging in the balance.

Manager Terry Francona said rookie Mike Clevinger will take Salazar's spot in the rotation, facing the Twins on Thursday afternoon. Josh Tomlin, originally scheduled to start Thursday, will start Friday against the Yankees in the Bronx.

"Danny was examined extensively this morning," Francona told reporters Tuesday afternoon.
