CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Seven left-handed pitchers grasp a spot on the Indians' 40-man roster.
Three of those hurlers -- Jayson Aquino, Shawn Morimando and Ryan Merritt -- have never stepped foot on a big league mound. A fourth, Giovanni Soto, logged 3 1/3 innings with the Tribe at the end of the 2015 campaign.
Nick Hagadone, TJ House and Kyle Crockett, the other three, have conducted the heavy lifting (relatively speaking, at least). None of the three has established himself as a surefire major league option, though time is on the side of the latter two.
House, a starter whose 2015 season was marred by shoulder trouble, turned 26 at the end of September.
