Box Score · Clippers improve to 19-26
Columbus got a strong starting pitching performance from Darren McCaughan, who was recently acquired in a trade with the Miami Marlins for cash. McChaughan had a quality start, allowing one run on three hits in six innings with five strikeouts and two walks.
The bullpen struggled mightily, with Mason Hickman, Anthony Gose and Peter Strzelecki all giving up runs over the final three innings.
With teammate Johnathan Rodriguez promoted to Cleveland, Daniel Schneemann yelled “send me too!” by going 4-for-5 with a double, a home run and three runs batted in, raising his OPS to a ridiculous 1.
