TORONTO -- Struck hard but not hard enough, Josh Donaldson's two-out line drive fell into the lap of former A's teammate Coco Crisp, ending the seventh inning to help preserve Cleveland's lead in a 4-2 victory over the Blue Jays in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Monday night. The Indians lead the series, 3-0.
The Blue Jays were in favorable position to strike, with the tying run standing at first base in Jose Bautista, who drew a walk against Indians reliever Bryan Shaw to keep the inning alive after Ezequiel Carrera and pinch-hitter Justin Smoak came up empty.
