Corey Kluber rolls, Giovanni Soto falters as Giants beat Cleveland Indians, 6-2

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The good news is that Corey Kluber had a better day than Giovanni Soto on Saturday in Goodyear, Ariz.

What perspective to take from that good news? The 6,007 people who watched the Giants beat the Indians, 6-2, in a Cactus League game at Goodyear Ballpark all had better days than Soto.

A couple hours after manager Terry Francona confirmed what everyone already knew -- Kluber will be the Indians open day starter on April 4 at Progressive Field – Kluber made his Cactus League debut by retiring six straight Giants on 20 pitches, including 12 strikes.
