CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Indians' relief corps is taxed, so the bullpen shuffle continues.
The Indians will option hurlers Cody Anderson and Shawn Armstrong to Triple-A Columbus prior to Thursday's matinee against Minnesota. Cleveland's reeling rotation has forced the club's bullpen to cover 18 2/3 innings over the last three games.
Armstrong joined the Indians before Wednesday's game. He tossed a pair of scoreless innings in relief of Trevor Bauer, who lasted only 2 2/3 frames. Anderson allowed two runs on three hits over 2 1/3 innings in Wednesday's 13-5 loss to the Twins.
Mike Clevinger will occupy one of the now-vacant roster spots.
