Clevelinks: Cleveland Indians Win in Shaun Marcum’s First Start Since 2013

After shuffling back and forth between the Cleveland Indians and Triple-A Columbus, veteran Shaun Marcum hopes he made enough of an impression to stay part of the Tribe’s rotation. While the fifth spot has been a question mark, Marcum made a solid case for it allowing just two runs (both on solo HRs) over 6 2/3 innings as the Indians defeated the Chicago White Sox, 3-2.

Marcum, making his first start since 2013, was efficient with his pitches, and was able to get into the seventh. After handing the ball over to Zach McAllister who retired the four batters he faced the turned it over to closer Cody Allen.
