The Cleveland Indians played a real baseball game today and no one got hurt. That itself is reason enough to celebrate; as an added bonus, they decided to go out and win in decisive fashion by a score of 8-2.
The starting 9 today consisted of a handful of players who will probably be everyday players for the Tribe this season, a handful of prospects who may or may not be with the team come Opening Day, and Michael Martinez. Carlos Santana went 0-for-3 with a strikeout, Jose Ramirez picked up a walk and a hit, Lindor got a walk, and Edwin Encarnacion, in his debut as a member of the Cleveland Indians, picked up 2 hits and drove in the game’s first run.
