Cleveland Indians use Carlos Carrasco's strong start plus three homers to beat Oakland A, 5-3

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The offensive revival that started Sunday for the Indians spilled over into Monday's game at Progressive Field.

After the Indians scored 10 runs on 18 hits in Sunday's 10-1 win over Kansas City, they went to power mode Monday for a 5-3 win over Oakland as Austin Jackson, Carlos Santana and Edwin Encarnacion homered.

As it did Sunday, nothing goes better with offense than good starting pitching. Josh Tomlin threw a six-hit complete game Sunday. Carlos Carrasco (5-2, 2.89) didn't take things to that extreme, but he did pitch seven strong innings and was working on a shutout until Yonder Alonso and Ryon Healy hit consecutive homers with one out in the seventh.
