Cleveland Indians' Terry Francona worries about "disjointed spring' as opening day nears

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Injuries are a part of spring training. Two that we already knew about were formally announced Sunday by the Indians.

Second baseman Jason Kipnis will miss the start of the season with a strained right rotator cuff. Right-hander Cody Anderson needs Tommy John surgery on his right elbow and is done for the year.

The loss of Anderson will hurt the Indians starting pitching depth and that is a big deal as the Indians and their fans found out late last season. The loss of Kipnis for more than anticipated four to five weeks would hurt more.
