According to several reports, the Cleveland Indians are expected to signed former Twins outfielder Shane Robinson to a minor league contract. Robinson has played in and out of the Major Leagues since his debut in 2009, playing five seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals and one season last year with the Twins.
Robinson has never been much more than a replacement-level outfielder with passable defense. He hit with a .250/.299/.322 slash in Minnesota last season. His best season came in 2013 when he slashed .250/.345/.319 with two home runs in 93 games for the Cardinals. The 31-year-old right-handed batter has not hit a home run in the Major Leagues since June 11, 2013.
