CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The re-introduction of James Shields to the American League has been a painful one and the Indians didn't help matters Saturday night at Progressive Field.
The Indians ripped Shields for eight runs on seven hits in 1 2/3 innings on the way to a 13-2 victory featuring 15 hits and homers by Mike Napoli, Juan Uribe and Tyler Naquin.
Shields, acquired from San Diego on June 4, has allowed 21 earned runs and 24 hits in 8 2/3 innings in three starts since the trade. He is 0-2 with a 21.
