Cleveland Indians seeing enemy left-handers here, there and everywhere

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Seattle's Wade Miley started against the Indians on Tuesday night at Progressive Field. He was the seventh left-handed starter they've faced in 11 games this season.

Last year the Indians were vulnerable against lefty starters because the best hitters in their lineup batted left-handed. This year the Indians added right-handed hitters Mike Napoli, Rajai Davis, Marlon Byrd, Juan Uribe and Collin Cowgill to help correct that problem. The results have been underwhelming.

Not only did the Indians lose four of their first six when the opposition started a lefty, the new faces they brought in to help balance the lineup have had problems.
