Cleveland Indians secured Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco before pitching Tsunami hit

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Give the Indians credit. They saw this coming. Maybe they didn't have it measured to the last millisecond, but they had an idea that MLB's pitching Tsunami was on the way.

It's why Carlos Carrasco is signed through 2018 for $22 million and Corey Kluber is signed for $38.5 million through 2019. Those extensions were agreed to just before the start of the 2015 season, long before this winter when seemingly every prominent starting pitcher started making $30 million a year.

Jeff Samardzija led the AL in hits, homers and runs allowed last season for the White Sox.
