CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Perci Garner once caught a home run ball off of the bat of Ellis Burks.
Garner attended many games at the venue he knew as Jacobs Field. Jim Thome was his favorite Tribe player. Ken Griffey Jr. was his primary idol.
Well, Garner now calls Progressive Field home. It's the same building, just with a sponsored name. And it offers just as special of a feeling for the 27-year-old who grew up about 90 minutes south of the corner of Carnegie and Ontario.
Since he learned of his promotion to the big leagues on Tuesday night, Garner hasn't stopped smiling.
