CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Right-hander Carlos Carrasco allowed one run in eight innings and Carlos Santana hit a sacrifice fly to the second baseman as the Cleveland Indians defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 4-1, Wednesday night at Tropicana Field in Tampa, Fla. Each team finished with five hits.
The Tribe improved to 3-3; the Rays slipped to 3-5.
Here is a capsule look at the game, which was televised by Fox Sports Time Ohio:
Cookie's redux: Carrasco's previous start against the Rays occurred July 1, 2015, at Tropicana Field. He did not allow a hit for 8 2/3 innings, then Joey Butler singled on an 0-2 pitch to drive in Asdrubal Cabrera, who had opened the ninth with a walk.
