The Cleveland Indians have recalled left-handed pitcher Kyle Crockett from Triple-A Columbus and optioned out right-hander Cody Anderson to make room.
Crockett’s addition gives the Indians a lefty in the bullpen that they’ve lacked since T.J. House was optioned to Triple-A over the All-Star break. Crockett has spent parts of the last three seasons with the big league club with varying degrees of success. He’s appeared in 11 games with the Indians this year though only 3 2/3 innings as he was used almost exclusively as a left-handed matchup guy.
