BOSTON -- Scribbles in my Cleveland Indians notebook while waiting for Game 3 against the Boston Red Sox in Fenway Park:
1. On the surface, this doesn't seem like a great matchup for the Tribe. Josh Tomlin is a pitcher who gives up a lot of fly balls. Fenway Park and the Green Monster are very rude to this kind of pitcher. Tomlin has only pitched three games in Boston (0-2, 5.79), so there's not a lot of history to develop any trend.
2. It's tempting to focus on how the left field wall makes it easy for right-handed hitters to pull the ball down the third-base line into the net above the 37-foot wall.
