Cleveland Indians Place Tommy Hunter on DL; Recall Cody Anderson

The Cleveland Indians have placed reliever Tommy Hunter on the 15-day disabled list with a non-baseball injury and recalled Cody Anderson from Triple-A Columbus.

The last time Hunter pitched was back on July 9th (before the All-Star break) when he took the loss in the 11th inning against the New York Yankees. The move to the disabled list is retroactive to then. According to Jordan Bastian, Hunter has a fracture in his lower back that he suffered falling down the stairs over the break. There’s no word on how long he’ll be out.
