CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Indians owner Paul Dolan has not been shy about his desire to lure a minority partner to the organization.
For about a year, the New York-based investment broker Allen & Co. has attempted to recruit a buyer interested in purchasing a share of the franchise. According to an Associated Press report, that may soon happen. Steve Greenberg, the managing director of Allen & Co., told the AP that the addition of a minority investor could be completed this year.
"The franchise is very stable," Dolan said at the end of August.
