CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Indians have agreed upon a minor league contract for 32-year-old pitcher Felipe Paulino. The deal comes with an invitation to spring training.
Paulino spent the 2015 campaign with Triple-A Iowa City, an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. There, he posted a 5-9 record and 4.93 ERA in 20 starts, which spanned 104 innings. Paulino surrendered about one hit per inning and he walked 52 and struck out 83 in 104 frames.
The right-hander has spent parts of six seasons in the big leagues with the Astros, Rockies, Royals and White Sox. Overall, he owns a 5.
