CLEVELAND, Ohio –The Indians enter the winter meetings in Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday night playing small ball.
They are concentrating on improving their mix of position players and relievers, but not in the Chris Davis or Darren O'Day sense. This is more in line with their recent acquisitions of outfielders Collin Cowgill, Michael Choice and Shane Robinson and right-handers Joba Chamberlain and Kirby Yates.
"There might be some smaller things we do in terms of some complementary players that we're working toward," said Chris Antonetti, president of baseball operations, just before the meetings. "As for how far a long we are, it's always difficult to say.
