CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Here are two of the most remarkable things about the Cleveland Indians 2016 regular season:
- They were second in the American League in runs scored.
- Their outfield was the second-most productive in the American League.
I believe the two points are related.
The Indians were very worried about their outfield at the start of spring training. That was when they were thinking that Michael Brantley would come back from shoulder surgery at some point in the season.
He had only 39 at bats before going back on the injured list for the remainder of the season.
