CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The big-money contracts being handed to free agent starting pitchers could benefit the Indians.
That's because it raises the value of any starter the Tribe might consider trading, even Josh Tomlin or Cody Anderson.
Let's start with the money:
1. David Price signed a seven-year, $217 million deal with Boston. The lefty is 30 and had an 18-5 record with a 2.45 ERA for Detroit and Toronto in 2015. His price was too high for the Tigers and Blue Jays.
2. Detroit signed Jordan Zimmerman to a five-year, $110 million deal.
