TORONTO -- The Indians had a record-setting June and two of the players responsible were recognized by the American League on Saturday.
Danny Salazar was voted AL Pitcher of the Month, while center fielder Tyler Naquin was voted AL Rookie of the Month.
Salazar went 5-0 with a 1.91 ERA in five starts in June. He struck out 33, walked 15 and allowed seven earned runs in 33 innings. On the season Salazar is 10-3 with a 2.22 ERA in 15 starts. He leads the AL in ERA and is tied for second in wins and batting average against at .
