The Cleveland Indians have announced that Danny Salazar has been scratched from his next start due to shoulder fatigue. The start, originally scheduled for Wednesday in Seattle, will be pushed back to Sunday in Anaheim.
Salazar is having the best season of his young career this year. In 11 starts this season, he’s 6-3 with an American League leading 2.24 ERA. He also ranks first in the American League in strikeout rate at 10.67 K/9. Salazar’s last start against Kansas City was pushed back one day with Carlos Carrasco starting when Salazar normally would have gone.
