Cleveland Indians fans have been waiting for that signature win all year. Instead, the team has taken a different approach and entered Thursday night riding an unfathomable 21-game win streak.
But even though the win streak itself has been a wild ride, Thursday night’s game was the signature win to top all other signature wins in what has been and continues to be a historic run.
Francisco Lindor came to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning with his team down 2-1. Erik Gonzalez was standing on first after pinch-running for Francisco Mejia.
