The Cleveland Indians have activated relief pitcher Joba Chamberlain from the 15-day disabled list. In order to make room for Chamberlain, the team also optioned starting pitcher Cody Anderson to the Triple-A Columbus Clippers. Chamberlain was initially placed on the disabled list on May 23 with a chest muscle strain.
In his 14 appearances this season, Chamberlain has a 1.93 ERA and a 3.54 FIP. While the artist formerly known as Justin has done a good job keeping runs off the board, he has walked six batters in his 14 innings of works so far, hence the inflated FIP.
