(CLEVELAND, Ohio) -- As the 2015 World Series is about to begin, take a look back on the Cleveland Indians 2015 season, which began with so much promise. With some veteran position player acquisitions to bolster a promising pitching staff, hopes were high, including a Sports Illustrated cover.
But a slow start in April, combined with a couple key injures got the Tribe off to a rocky beginning. Catcher Yan Gomes was lost for six weeks and pitcher Carlos Carrasco took a line drive off the side of his head. The Indians had trouble knocking out hits and scoring runs while several starters tried to fill the fifth spot in the rotation with out much success.
