CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The White Sox, who rallied all game long Wednesday night, did it when it mattered most at Progressive Field.
Down to their final two outs, Chicago scored five times in the ninth inning against closer Cody Allen to beat the Indians, 10-7. The Indians entered with a 7-5 lead and a chance to take a seven-game lead in the AL Central following Detroit's loss to Kansas City.
It was not to be.
Allen, who has a history of meltdowns against the White Sox, lost the lead and the game when he gave up a grand slam to Adam Eaton with one out.
