CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Ten Budweiser Clydesdales arrived in town during the World Series. Does this mean Anheuser-Busch is predicting the Cleveland Indians will beat the Chicago Cubs? Are they preparing for a parade?
Well, no and yes.
"Our team is ready for the parade," said Dave Thomas, a supervisor traveling with the group.
However, they have the exact same set-up in Chicago, according to Thomas. That is, a different team of ten Budweiser Clydesdales are stationed there, "and they're doing some different appearances around the city," said Thomas.
Anheuser-Busch, a sponsor of the Cubs, the Indians and Major League Baseball, says the Budweiser Clydesdales made their first appearance in 1933.
