CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Indians put on a show Monday night, rallying from far behind to defeat the Texas Rangers, 15-9, at Progressive Field.
The Indians trailed, 4-0, after 1/2-inning; 7-1 after 1 1/2 innings; and 9-2 after 3 1/2. Texas bats pounded righty Carlos Carrasco and seemingly were going to send the Indians to a fourth straight loss. The Tribe had not dropped four in a row since the summer of 2015 -- a span of 297 games.
The three-game skid had occurred over the weekend, and it was ugly. The Minnesota Twins came into Progressive Field and outscored the hosts by a combined 13-2, in front of sizable crowds.
