The Braves and Indians are nearing a trade that will send Nick Swisher to Atlanta, reports Yahoo’s Tim Brown (via Twitter).
The struggling Swisher is currently on the disabled list due to inflammation in his left knee and hasn’t hit much over the past two seasons. Considering the fact that he’s owed $15MM in 2016, it seems like the two sides could be prepping for an exchange of bad contracts, although that’s just my speculation. The amount remaining on the Swisher contract and Chris Johnson‘s contract, though, is very similar.
