Bradley Zimmer's crafty slide into home on a wild pitch puts Indians ahead of Texas

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Indians rookie Bradley Zimmer used his speed to produce a run for Cleveland in the bottom of the third inning Thursday against Texas.

Zimmer first flashed his wheels when he beat out an infield single on a high chopper to second base following a Yan Gomes single.

Gomes scored on an RBI ground out by Francisco Lindor that moved Zimmer to third.

That's when Rangers starter Andrew Cashner uncorked a wild pitch that catcher Robinson Chirinos blocked in the dirt. Zimmer dashed for the plate, but Chirinos threw to Cashner covering the base ahead of the speedy rookie.
