CLEVELAND, Ohio – Consider these three points.

1. Boston is Cleveland’s greatest historical playoff rival, with the two cities matching up 14 times in the postseason across three sports.

2. The current Eastern Conference Finals is that 14th matchup. At the moment, Cleveland holds a 7-6 edge on Boston, and who can Cleveland thank for that? The Browns.

3. This isn’t going to change. Think about what the Cavs and Indians could and should do in the postseason over the next several years, and you imagine the Celtics and the Red Sox as the two most consistent threats to a Cleveland return to the NBA Finals or World Series

So if there’s something that you, as a Cleveland sports fan, don’t like about Boston, prepare to continue to not like it.
