The Columbus Clippers suffered a small setback on their journey to the Governor’s Cup last night. Outside of a tumultuous start from Shao-Ching Chiang, however, the Clippers played a solid game. Chiang got roughed up for 5 H, 8 ER and 2 BB in 2.0 IP. ERAs of 36 don’t tend to lead to great results.
At the plate, Ka’ai Tom and Ernie Clement led the way with two hits apiece. Mark Mathias added a double, and Bobby Bradley hit a ball so hard that the announcer couldn’t even make a proper home run call.
Just absurd.
