CHICAGO -- It took 71 years for the World Series to come to Wrigley Field, and then another six full innings before a run was scored. The Indians finally broke the scoreless tie in Game 3 on Friday night with Coco Crisp's RBI single off reliever Carl Edwards Jr. in the seventh, and it took some machinations from Cleveland's manager to make it happen in the 1-0 win.
Roberto Perez opened the inning with a single, and Terry Francona replaced him on the basepaths with Michael Martinez. Tyler Naquin moved Martinez to second with a sacrifice bunt, and then, with Rajai Davis up to bat, Edwards uncorked a wild pitch that allowed Martinez to advance to third.
