Straily spent the beginning of 2015 at Triple-A Fresno before making his first big league start of the season Friday in Boston, working 4 2/3 innings and allowing five runs (four earned) and six hits. He took the rotation spot of Brett Oberholtzer.
Bauer no-hit the Astros for six innings on April 9, but the young righty has a 6.49 ERA in eight home starts this year. On Friday, he held the Pirates to two runs in 6 1/3 innings before rain ended his outing.
