Another early exit: Six things we learned Tuesday as the Cleveland Indians lost, 6-5, to the Giants

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Six things we learned Tuesday before, during and after the Indians lost to San Francisco, 6-5, in a Cactus League at Goodyear Ballpark.

1. Early inning problems continue to hound Tribe starters.

On Monday, Carlos Carrasco allowed eight runs on eight hits in the second inning against the White Sox. Three of the hits were home runs, including a grand slam.

On Tuesday, Josh Tomlin allowed five runs on five hits in the first inning against the Giants. One of them was a two-run homer by Justin Ruggiano.

Tomlin was scheduled to go four innings, but lasted three.
